Friends of the Água Boa Amazon Lodge
The routine is back on our beloved Água Boa River.
Frans Jansen brought us a group of anglers eager for adventure and special moments…And they all had them, those magical moments that our Peacock Bass provided.
Thanks to Scott, Peter, Joe, Frans, Todd, Gene, George, David, Harald and Steve, we shared some great times.
The river is in excellent condition for fishing, a mix of sight fishing and deeper water fishing, and poppers have provided an extraordinary view of the fierce Peacock Bass attack.
We recommend intermediate lines, floating lines for Poppers and even sinking lines, for those deeper water lakes.
40 and 50 lbs tippet are recommended.
Our fishing friends this week caught an excellent number of fish between 10 and 15 lbs, and some beautiful specimens above that weight.
People have fish with us, know exactly what I’m talking about,the ones didn’t fish with us yet,will discover it when your decision bring you down to experiment all the emotions and unique experience the Água Boa can offer.
Arowana also delighted our friends, and provided impressive acrobatic moments.
One of the attractions of Água Boa is the diversity of fish that the fly attracts, and once again this happened.
We remind you that a good pair of polarized glasses is extremely important, as well as finger protectors or even vet tape, to protect against unwanted cuts and burns that the friction of the line can cause.
