Lance Ranger, Owner and Operator of Agua Boa Amazon Lodge, is also the founder of the Ranger Foundation. The Foundation is a Mauritian based charity dedicated to bringing conductive and academic education in an accredited Special Needs School for children with Cerebral Palsy. During its time, it has created an innovative learning environment for Mauritian children with a variety of disabilities including cerebral palsy and autism.
In 2013 Lance attempted a ‘from sea to sea’ East-West crossing of Greenland on skis to raise sponsorship money for the charity. Unfortunately, he and his two experienced teammates had to turn around due to being hit by two ice hurricanes (Piteraq storms). However, they still managed to raise a considerable sum and the building works are now well underway to build a purpose-built school and therapy center on the island. This year. Lance crossed the Vatnajokull glacier in Iceland and climbed Iceland’s highest peak, the Hvannadalshnukur. Lance continues to raise funds for this important project and is grateful for every donation.
The Ranger Foundation, through its US support corporation, ‘American Friends of the Ranger Foundation Inc’ is now registered as a Tax Exempt Organization with the Internal Revenue Service and can therefore receive tax deductible donations from US citizens. The IRS acceptance letter is on file in our booking office in Livingston, MT and can be provided upon request.

All funds paid to the US support corporation will go directly to the charity. There are no ‘administration’ expenses. Your donation is used in full to help these kids.
