Welcome friends of Água Boa.

How good it is to see old friends again every year, every new season.
Tim and Mindy Coyle have been visiting us regularly, and it’s always a pleasure to welcome them, as it is a pleasure to welcome all the fishing friends who visit us and share the week with us.

That’s how this post-Thanksgiving week went.
Still recovering from the celebration, but with total focus on fishing.
It was a quiet week for all members of our team (from now on we will be very busy). We had a reduced number of clients due to having to travel on Thanksgiving Day to be here, but I can say that it was worth all the effort for those who made the effort to visit us.
This is usually a very good week to share with us here at Água Boa Amazon Lodge, so keep that in mind.

We had a few rainy days this week. The river reversed its downward trend to rise; it didn’t rise much, around 10 inches, which was even beneficial for fishing.
The water temperature dropped a bit, and the fish became more active.

Congratulations, Marty, on the beautiful 19 lb. specimen.
Scott couldn’t have ended the week better: a beautiful pirarucu over 100 lb.
Tim and Mindy, in turn, had 6 pirarucus (arapaima) that attacked their flies but only managed to get photos with two of them, weighing approximately 50 or 60 lb.
Pirararas (red tail catfish) also produced excellent photos.
Each of our fishing friends momentarily held a beautiful arowana for photos.

The variety of species that attacked the fly was exceptional this week.
The numbers were good.
Água Boa (always generous) rewards those who venture into its waters and test their persistence and abilities.
Tucunarés between 10 and 15 lbs provide a fierce fight, and this fight was repeated every day of fishing.

Our fishing friends return home with unique memories, vivid photos, and certainly a desire to return.
Água Boa can be addictive; our friends always come back, and how could they not return to this extraordinary place?

Today we remind you of the importance of bringing:
Protective gloves and a good pair of polarized sunglasses
The right leader is also of fundamental importance: 40 and 50 lbs. mono or hard mono are recommended.
I don’t want to be repetitive, but for those who visit us in the future, please take 5 minutes of your time to read the information available online, the same information provided by our agents. We want your week to go as well as possible, and we are here to ensure that happens.

And the sun shone again, radiating its light over the waters and the forest, so life unfolds and moves forward in time… Thus Água Boa becomes ephemeral…

See you next week
