Welcome, friends of Água Boa Amazon Lodge.

And so the days go by, turning into weeks; faces come and go, and welcomes and farewells accumulate. Life in Água Boa follows its natural cycle.

The river level continues to drop daily, almost imperceptibly, but by the end of the week, the beaches have grown more extensive and the banks have retreated further from the vegetation. Navigating between these white sandbars has become a true test of our guides’ skill, and their performance remains excellent.

Our thanks go to Randy Richter  for bringing us another excellent group of anglers, but above all, an extraordinary group of people.
Thank you to David, Jaqueline, Jim, Bryan, Kevin, Hamilton, Gary, Paul, Randall, Joe, Terri, Steve, and Bo.
It was a good week.

Regarding quantity, variety and size of fish:
The quantity results were impressive, leaving all our fishing friends satisfied.
The variety was excellent, ranging from Pirarucu to Black Piranha, with a remarkable number of species in between.
In a particular note, the Aruanã fishing was extraordinary this week.
However, nothing is ever perfect. While we catch and release many fish between 10 and 13 lbs, few exceed that weight.
The Peacock Bass population is currently so healthy, and the medium-sized fish so full of energy, that they often strike the fly well before the larger fish have a chance to move.

Nature has revealed itself in all its sovereign splendor. Multicolored birds have populated the beaches and riverbanks, while monkeys and other native species of Água Boa have made frequent appearances.

Regarding equipment and personal items, our recommendations remain unchanged. Please consult previous posts, our online information, or the details provided by our agents.

The early sunrise brings intoxicating colors that reflect on the water like an abstract, yet very real, painting
Then, it sets quickly, bringing the day to an end.
But within this transition, countless stories fill the minds of those who visit us—stories that change every day, while the images remain etched forever in memory.

See you next week
