welcome friends of Água Boa Amazon Lodge

A week of partly cloudy skies, warm sunshine, and scattered light rain, that is how the days unfolded on the Água Boa River past week.

It was a productive week in terms of both the volume and variety of species.
We saw a generous number of fish weighing between 8 and 12 lb, with some specimens exceeding those marks.
As noted previously, a massive population of medium-sized fish (6 to 11 lb) currently fills the waters, and the sheer speed and ferocity of these “adolescents” can sometimes make it a challenge to hook the larger trophies.
Their energy is truly impressive…

We were also treated to some species rarely seen in our stretch of the river, including the beautiful Sardinata, Arari, and Pirapitinga.
A significant number of Payara chased flies and posed for photos.
A special congratulations goes to Rob for his beautiful Pirarucu, which was caught, photographed, and promptly returned to the river where it belongs.

Thank you, Bryan (Montana Angler), for bringing us another extraordinary group of people.
Of course, as with any operation, nothing is ever entirely perfect. Unexpected situations occasionally arise; for these, we apologize and are working hard to ensure they do not happen again. While we celebrate our successes, we also remain committed to addressing the moments that fall short of our standards.

Our sincere thanks to: Jeff, Radie, Bryan, Ann, Wes, Kelly, Bill, Brad, Rob, Linda, Clark, Matt, Steve, and Brad West. (Brad, I still love your biting sense of humor and your quick wit in responding to any joke or provocation!)
It was a genuine pleasure to share the week with all of you.

The beaches continue to emerge as the water levels drop. Alligators lounge in their typical monotony, providing a stark contrast to the restless birds darting across the fine, golden sands.
When the sun reflects off the sand and water, it creates a mirage,a blend of colors that eventually disappears into the horizon.

Months begin and months end, but at Água Boa, many things are ephemeral, much like the faces of those who visit us, which remain vivid in the memories that carry us through the season…

See you next week
