Saturday has arrived, marking the conclusion of another exceptional week of fishing. The days drifted by through a blend of sun, clouds, and the occasional scattered shower.
The water level has receded slightly, changed so subtly it was almost imperceptible to the naked eye.
Sight fishing remains a primary draw for our guests, heightening both the challenge and the eventual reward of a successful strike.
In these conditions, a high-quality pair of polarized sunglasses is an essential ally.
Our sincere thanks go to Dirk, Brian, Jason, Mac, John, Meshele, Jim, Julius, Debra, Kerry, Rick, Peter, Roger, and Matt.
Together, we shared a week defined by adventure, great moments, and the unique thrill of fishing successfully here at Água Boa.
More importantly, we enjoyed the deep camaraderie and friendship shared between old acquaintances and new companions alike.
It was a prolific week, both in the quantity and the impressive size of the fish caught, photographed, and carefully released back into their natural habitat.
We saw a good number of trophies over 15 lbs, an excellent count of fish in the 8 to 12 lbs range, and a truly extraordinary total number of takes on the fly.
The variety of species did not disappoint; the payara was once again the most prominent, followed closely by the arowana, among others.
As the end of the season draws near, a few precious weeks still remain.
Our team remains fully focused, approaching every week with the same energy as the first.
Each Saturday brings a renewal of spirit and a fresh group of guests, even if many of those faces are dear, familiar friends.
