Welcome friends of the Água Boa Amazon Lodge

This week, the Água Boa River was shining under the sun and the new moon, creating a picturesque backdrop for our visitors.

Everyone was thrilled with the experiences they had, catching fish and releasing them back into the water.
Although the water level is still low, there is more water compared to last year at this time.

With the low water level, golden beaches have emerged, blending with the clear water and providing a fun challenge for our fishermen – sight fishing!

This week was filled with good numbers and good sizes of fish. It started off okay but ended on a high note.
Despite some challenges, each guest managed to catch some impressive fish, with many weighing over 10 lbs and some even over 15 lbs.

We also saw a variety of species like Payara, arowana, wolf fish, piranhas, and pacus, etc.
Overall, the fishing was average to good for us, but excellent for most people.

Thank you, Randy Ritcher for another excellent group:
Bruce Keen, Bruce Barton, Ken, Skip, Steve, Trevor,
Drew, Albert Cattel, Matt, Ryan, Ty,Steve Ruiz and Laurence, for another excellent week.

For those who love birds, they have been showing themselves in all their splendor on the banks and beaches of Água Boa.
Their colors blend with the surrounding nature.
A very peculiar bird has been delighting its lovers; we are talking about the Hoatzin, which has been making constant appearances for our visitors.

The large animals were a little shy this week, even so Capybaras and Tapirs were spotted and photographed.
A briefly sight of an young jaguar was a highlight of the last day.

Fishing Tips:
Intermediate lines continue to be the most widely used, but that doesn’t mean other lines can’t be used.
It’s always spectacular to put a popper on the floating line and watch the explosion when the fish attacks.
As in deeper lakes, a sinking line is more suitable.

Flies 10 to 12 cm long, with some flash and white contrast, attract the fish.
Tippet 50 and 60 lbs of hard mono are essential.
Finger sleeves of some kinds are very important; if you can’t find them, we recommend vet tape.

Insect repellent, sun protection and a good pair of polarized sunglasses
Hey there, middle schoolers! Today we’re going to talk about the cool sport of fly fishing. Our agents have provided some awesome information for you to check out, and you can also find more on our website.

A fly fisherman standing by the river, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to cast his line. The water is calm, the wind is gentle, and the fisherman is focused on the horizon, ready for his line to dance through the air.
When the fly lands on the water, it’s like a performance. The fisherman watches as the fish below the surface notices the fly and takes the bait.
It’s a magical moment that completes the cycle of fly fishing…

See you next week
