Welcome, friends of Água Boa.

The river level has dropped consistently this week, and the golden sand beaches are growing larger by the day. As the water recedes, the fish are becoming more active and voracious.
It was a good week of fishing—in fact, a very good one.
Judging by the photos and the smiles of our guests, Água Boa is back to its best.

It is always gratifying to see people return year after year, but it is even more special to welcome back old friends while making new ones.
Tina and Bret Walker, longtime friends of the lodge, were accompanied this week by an extraordinary couple, Matt and Kris Pierson.

We also want to thank Kyle Holt for the phenomenal group he brought with him: Harry, Rick, Craig, Peter, Kenton, Carl, Michael, Mac, and Tod.
I am certain everyone is heading home with lifelong memories of their time on the water.

While discussing the size and quantity of fish caught, photographed, and released can feel repetitive, the results this week were truly impressive. The diversity of species that Água Boa offers remains unparalleled.
We saw many specimens between 10 and 15 lbs, with several exceeding that weight, bringing joy and unforgettable moments to everyone.

However, the true highlight of the week was the exuberant display of untouched nature.
A privileged few were treated to the sight of four jaguars, some of which were captured in unique and unforgettable photographs.

A Few Reminders for Future Guests:
Recommendations regarding fishing lines and leaders remain unchanged.
Flies: Patterns with flash and white contrast have been most effective, though we encourage experimentation; these fish are born predators.

Please review your checklist of personal and fishing items before your visit.
The information provided by our agents and available online is a great resource.

Finally, it was another quintessential week at Água Boa—not just for world-class fishing, but for the connection with nature and, most importantly, the extraordinary people who visit us.

See you next week
