Welcome friends of the Água Boa Amazon Lodge
This week, the sky was mostly covered with clouds, bringing a few scattered raindrops that cooled down our fishing days. The river level rose a bit, which was a nice change from what we’ve been experiencing this season. The rain was not only welcomed by us, but also by the fish, who felt refreshed.
We had a fantastic week in terms of both numbers and sizes of fish.
The diversity of species was remarkable, with catches including Piranha, Wolf fish, Arowana, Payara, and more.
We caught a good number of fish weighing over 15 lbs and an excellent number between 10 and 15 lbs. The Água Boa river truly showed off its abundance.
We want to give a big thanks to all our fishing friends who joined us this week, including Dirk, Mac, Tom, Brian, Mechelle, John, Richard, Jim, Debbie, Kerry, Peter, Roger, Rick, and Matt.
It was a blast spending time with you all, both fishing and chatting.
One of the highlights of the week was witnessing a jaguar posing with a Caiman it had just killed for a meal.
This incredible scene resulted in some extraordinary photos and videos that we will cherish forever.
This week at Água Boa Amazon Lodge, visitors had the chance to see some amazing animals up close. Capybaras, Tapirs, and Sloths were all spotted, with visitors even helping the Sloths cross the river safely.
The wildlife was definitely active and on the move!
The birds were also out in full force, showing off their beautiful colors and singing their songs.
It seems like the rain brought out all the wildlife, making for some great sightings.
The forest is alive with the sounds of birds, animals, and fish.
It’s been a busy and exciting time at Água Boa Amazon Lodge, creating unforgettable memories for all who visit us.
See you next week
Água Boa Team
