Dear Friends of the Água Boa Amazon Lodge,
We regret to inform you that we were unable to update our blog over the Christmas and New Year period due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite this, we were fortunate to welcome fishermen during Christmas week and the following week, where the fishing was exceptional as always.
It was a pleasure to host old friends and a group of women during New Year’s week, making it an extraordinary experience.
Unfortunately, our blog writer had a mishap on Christmas Day when he was stung by a stingray, causing him extreme pain and hindering his ability to write.
We apologize to those who visited us during those weeks for not being able to share their experiences on our blog, as each visitor is important to us.
As things slowly return to normal, we are excited to share the vivid events that took place on the Água Boa River.
This past week has once again demonstrated the abundance of the river, with impressive catches by our visitors.
Special congratulations to Tim for catching a beautiful 19 pounds peacock bass and to all the other individuals Bill,Joseph,Steve,Mike,Peter,Tom, Tim and Tom Miller,Mark,Jeff and Sole Vermillion) who successfully caught and released exceptional specimens.
We would also like to thank Tim and Joseph for their splendid guitar performances and the musical moments shared at the pool.
The photos taken during this time capture the essence of the Água Boa experience and will be shared to tell a story.
The river level has remained stable over the past three weeks, providing good conditions for fishing.
We have slightly more water this year compared to last year at the same time.
The recommendations from previous posts are still relevant, ensuring a successful fishing experience.
At Água Boa, we understand that both good and bad experiences are part of life, but eventually, everything slowly returns to normal.
We look forward to welcoming more visitors and creating unforgettable memories on the Água Boa River
Wishing a joyful New Year 2025 to all of our fishing friends, and extending our warmest regards to the entire fly-fishing community.
May the year ahead bring each fisherman all that they desire.
Although I am not yet fully recovered, I am back in action and ready to continue with life’s adventures.
Looking forward to seeing you all next week.
Your Água Boa Team
Sorry to hear a stinger got you. Looking forward to hearing the story in two weeks.
