Welcome, friends of Água Boa.

It was a week of watching the river water every morning and again every evening. Finally, the level stabilized, and in the last two days of fishing, it began to recede.

The fishing was average until the middle of the week (average by Água Boa standards), but in the last few days our fishing friends experienced Água Boa as it is.
Average numbers during half the week, but excellent afterward.

And in those two days, more than 60 peacock bass between 10 and 15 lbs. brought joy to those who visited us this week.
The variety was good: some Arowana, Oscar, Bicuda Piranha, and Matrinchã, among others.

The pirarucus were also active; 6 of them were caught and returned to the waters of our beloved river. In short, by our standards it was an average week, but compared to most other places, it was an excellent week.

Thank you, Jeff, Tim, Ken, Judy, Carson, Jim, David Darrel, and David Derry, and of course we miss Connie Derry, who couldn’t join us for medical reasons. We hope she is doing well now and can visit us next year.

In the coming weeks, the lines of choice will be intermediate and sinking. This doesn’t mean floating lines can’t be used, but the others are more productive.

River conditions are only expected to improve as the days go by, and eventually everything will return to normal…

See you next week
