Friends of the Água Boa Amazon Lodge
It’s nice to see old friends and also make new friends at the same time.
Interaction between people is actually what makes us human and fills the gaps in our lives.
It was a pleasure to see David and Connie Derry again, as well as meet Craig, Scott, and David, the three fantastic brothers.
It was also a pleasure to interact with the other members of the group that visited us this week.
As always, everything was new, and nothing new…
Our fishing friends leave the Água Boa river, satisfied with the number of fish caught and returned, and the size of the fish landed.
The photos are a real image of the events of this week, of the smiles and sometimes of the frustrations, in various moments the fish wins; Despite the struggle and the fisherman’s performance, the fish still wins the battle.
And it is with the moments when the fish win that we learn how to appreciate the others, when the victory comes and tastes sweet.
These were hot days, with some rain in between, but overall it was a week with pleasant temperatures.
A good sunscreen is recommended; The sun can be brutal here.
It is important to wear fishing clothing with UV protection.
Remember that we are on the equator.
It is difficult to find new words and phrases to describe the weeks that follow, since the activity is repeated every day and week.
But what the eyes see are images that are slightly different from what the words describe.
Words have their limitations, but the eyes have the real image of the events.
Our activity is fly-fishing, and it is done every day by the fishermen who visit us, and although it may seem repetitive, it is actually different for each person and every day.
This is the amazing world of fly-fishing….
See you next week
