Friends of the Água Boa Amazon Lodge
The sun rises in all its splendor every morning, and it is different every day.
Just as different are the days that our fishing friends enjoy on the waters of Água Boa.
All Larson came accompanied by his family and friends, which he has done every season for as long as I can remember.
A note to Don Clark who, at almost 92 years old, is not intimidated by the long trip from Australia to Brazil, just as he is not intimidated by the long days and fierce battles that Água Boa river provides.
Thank you, All Larson, Davi Wendt, Amy, All, Don, Bob, Justin, Doug…It was a memorable week.
Despite the age and limitations of our fishing friends, we are talking about people over 80 years old for the most part, they know how to control their energy and make the most of every moment of fishing.
Beautiful photos, beautiful specimens caught and returned.
The numbers were good, and the size of them made our friend’s faces open and smile with satisfaction.
A special mention to Bob, who with his Australian sense of humor cheered up the team every night.
We know that all our customers and friends are alarmed by the news of an extreme drought in the Amazon, we want to emphasize that in Água Boa, the river level remains within normal levels, nothing we have not seen before.
We recommend 40 and 50 lbs hard mono for tippet, as well finger sleeves.
Intermediate lines are our first choice, but floating lines for poppers as well as sinking lines for deeper parts are recommended.
In short, as experienced fishermen, our friends know what they need.
Thank you to the Água Boa River, for another extraordinary week, and memorable moments, its generosity is inexhaustible.
See you next week
Your Água Boa Team
