Greetings Peacock Fans and welcome back to the Agua Boa Amazon Lodge Fishing Report. Once again, we had another great week here at the Agua Boa. The fishery and its Peacock populations are in a great cycle this season including a high population of fish in the 7-9-pound range. These hard fighting fish have explosive strikes and are likely to get air-born immediately after the hook is set. We have also continued to bump into.

Large fish in the upper teen-range daily throughout the Agua Boa River system. Enjoy a shot of Rick Powell and Gene Koecheler with a nice Peacock Acu. Who caught that fish anyway? The last two weeks we were lucky enough to have a special guest with us here at the Agua Boa Amazon Lodge. Thank you Paul Lavins for once again taking the time to come down from frigid Michigan to spend a couple weeks with us. Paul has spent more time at the Agua Boa Amazon Lodge than any other guest since we opened and it is always a pleasure to have him here. Check out

A shot of Paul with a nice Peacock!. Over the past week we have had occasional rain showers but nothing long lasting or exceptionally heavy. Although the river has continued to drop the overall change in level was negligible due to the occasional rain. Overall, we are super happy about the water levels on the Agua Boa River. The water is low enough to have sight fishing 80% of the time and high enough to still be able to access our favorite fishing spots! Hey folks, if you follow out report you already know that we are proud of the guide staff that we have here at the Agua Boa Amazon Lodge. They are great guides, know the river well and most importantly love sight fishing. In addition to being great guides they are very skilled fly casters. Therefore, each week we have a guest sponsored casting

Competition amongst the guides. Last year Caboclo was the overall champion but last week Head Guide Joseph Rodrigues edged out Bacaba in a tight competition. Right on Joseph and congratulations. Thanks for checking the Agua Boa Amazon Fishing Report and we look forward to seeing you here soon.
